Bellator MMA – 27th September, 2019
The leading global mixed martial arts and kickboxing organisation, Bellator features many of the best fighters in the world. Sean O'Casey Festival 2019: "Molly Allgood" – 18th September, 2019
Molly Allgood was one of the great stars of the Abbey .
She is performing three plays in repertory at the Abbey Theatre , one of them written by John Millington Synge.On her one day off, Synge walks the legs off her in the Dublin mountains while hiding her from his ascendency, staunchly protestant mother. During the Abbey Theatre riots at The Playboy Of The Western World she defends Synge during the Abbey riots by crowning some poor orphan with a bottle. Synge is obsessed with this girl from Mary Street with the bulldog chin. He writes her letters everyday. Molly responds...sometimes.
