Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club

Children’s Summer Sailing Course 8: 22th – 26th July, 2019

Watching youngsters grow in confidence as they master the art of sailing is one of the great rewards for the staff at the Irish National Sailing and Powerboat School. These summer course will entertain, challenge and stimulate your children as they learn how to master a sailing dinghy afloat - and have fun along the way.

A 5 day course delivered over a week.

Club Racing - Keel Boats Wednesday – 24 July, 2019

A full programme of competitive club racing is available from May to October.
Starting usually from our Committee Boat "Sean Whiston" to either laid or fixed marks in Dublin Bay, there is a very active fleet of privately owned cruiser racers within the club and we provide racing for keelboats and dinghies in ECHO handicap series.

Introduction to Lighting Design: 22th July, 2019

During the course of five days, participants will learn about different lighting technologies and learn the terminology used in the industry, becoming familiar with the basics of lighting design for the stage.

The course is perfect for people involved in amateur or school productions who wish to gain a better insight into the world of theatre or prospective students who are considering stage management and technical theatre as a career and wish to build up experience. It can be a taster course for the MFA in Stage Design at The Lir Academy.

Scrum Lego Simulation, Bank of Ireland Agile Workshop – 23 July, 2019

To experience Scrum, it is important to deliver a product, work together as a team, and do several iterations. To simulate this, the attendees will build a Luxury Hotel Resort with Lego bricks.
